MATH RESEARCH PAPER
1) DUE ON _________________________
2) Must be word-processed/typed.
3) 1-2 pages; double-spaced.
4) Font – 12
5) Must have at least 2 sources – 1 book (encyclopedia, book, etc.), 1 internet source.
6) Include a copy of the internet article(s) that you used.
7) Bibliography page must be included.
8) One poster – (colored in some fashion)
9) Oral presentation – (5-10 minutes in length)
You must include the following information in your paper.
1) When did he/she live? What was the world like then?
2) How hard did the person work? Did he/she make a discovery by accident?
3) Was the person organized during his/her lifetime?
4) Why were his/her discoveries important? What significance, if any, do they have today?
5) Did anyone expand upon the contributions of your mathematician?
6) Did your person marry? Did they have children?
7) Did he/she go to college? If so where and what was their major?
8) You may also include any other additional information about your person that you feel is important or that we may find interesting.
