The book wasn't that good.  Some people may like it because of the wild imagination. In a way I could relate to the daydreaming and other things like trying to get someone to notice you. But overall I couldn't get into the book.  It was a little boring and just didn't catch my eye.

I was not completely interested.  I made it through the book, but I didn't understand the plot or the characters.  Anyone who enjoys manga will love this book- otherwise find something else.  Sorry manga fans- it just isn't my thing.

This book was an easy read.  I finished it in about 45 minutes.  This isn't to say it wasn't good.  But be warned- it is written in comic book form!  I enjoyed the character Jane (Main Jane- not the other Janes!!) and her need to stick out.  She was offered a million and one times to sit with the 'popular people', but instead tried to become friends with the 'rejects'.  She showed determination in all she did.  There are some laughs as well.  Anyone interested in reading, but not dictionaries, this is a great book for you!

A basic teen who has to move from a big city to a little suburb town,  she belongs nowhere, but yet finds just her type of people.  Only they don't like her.  Jane has to live with her past and move on.  Only moving on includes cutting her hair, dying it black and changing her image.  The old her is still there somehow, but the new her has taken over.  Now the three Janes she wants to be friends with are about to help her, if only she can win them over.  The Janes are all in, but is the town?  Their big plan is getting attention, just not the kind they want.

I thought the book was very entertaining and easy to read.  The first few pages were captivating, they kept me guessing what had happened to Jane.  P.L.A.I.N. was also an unconventional aspect to the novel- I wasn't expecting it.  Damon taking the blame for the New Year's scheme shocked me, I thought he would be out of the storyline after he told Jane he didn't like her.  The police officer was a nice addition to the plot of people of the town not appreciating art.  Jane's Polish friend Miroslaw was very important to the book.  Her letters to him were a peek inside Jane's head.  I would recommend this book to teenage girls that don't really usually read graphic novels; it is very different from what you might imagine.

I think that the book the P.L.A.I.N. Janes was a very intriguing book. I normally don't like frame by frame books- but this one changed my outlook on them.  I feel this book would be good for anyone that has ever felt left out and need a purpose and someone to share it with.  I wish that we had P.L.A.I.N. in our town.  they bring the boring day-to-day lives to a screeching halt and put some excitement in the drivers seat.

This book was a little boring in the beginning, but as I continued reading it became interesting.  I thought Jane (Main Jane) and Damon were perfect together,  Damon was a total jerk to Jane (Plain Jane).  I could never take that from a guy.  Anyway, I kinda know what Main Jane was going through.  It is painful when you are in another place than your crush/love. You don't know what is happening to them- that is torture.  I would recommend this book to anyone whois heartbroken or is going through a tough time.  The ideas the P.L.A.I.N. Jane club came up with are great- pretty interesting and very creative.  A GREAT BOOK!!!!

I think this book was very interesting.  My favorite story of all was "Of all that was found and lost".  I thought the story was sad and it touched me.  I also liked the story of "The Coming of the Beast".  I thought it was very different than the other chapters.  I also liked "Rumplestiltskin". It was good.

This book is a very long book but an enjoyable read.  I enjoyed it a lot, only I do not like reading really, really, really long books. I enjoy books that are around 200 pages (short & sweet).  But this book was a good read.

THIS WAS AWESOME! Five stars, two thumbs up, the works!  The Book of Lost Things grasps you right away and pulls you into a land where good is evil, "happily ever after" means "killed quickly" and all that was lost is found.  You wish you could read it for eternity because you love knowing of David's adventures.

The author knows how to make you feel as if you were in the story- because everyone is part of the story.  Anyone can relate to this book because there are many times on would sell their soul to the devil.

The story is wickedly twisted and fairytales are pulled and reconfigured and what we knew and loved has become morbid.  I would not advise this book to someone easily grossed out because it is very creepy and twisted. People are tortured and killed in the worst ways- but that's what shapes the story.  I will read this author's other books.  I was very impressed and I always wanted more.  This is high on my list of favorite books!

The Book Of Lost Things is a powerful and emotional life changing book. This book holds a mysterious edge to a normal losing-a-mother book. I like how it relates to me and other people who have lost someone in their family, and how that one person causes everyone else to fall apart. I do believe that losing someone so close could even make you lose yourself and end up growing-up way fast. This was a book I could definitely relate to from past experiences.  The most interesting thing about this book was how it used The Brothers Grimm fairytales to help lead you through the book the way the way the author wanted you to.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!

This book was absolutely amazing! It took the fairy tales and stories we loved and completely mixed them up into a new and (in a good way) horrific manner of literature. I literally cried when I read the last sentence. I suggest this book to anyone that loves fantasy mixed with reality/minor horror and gore/and just something that blows your mind. You will not be able to put this book down. Congratulations to John Connolly and a job WELL done!

From my point of view Slam is a great book.  I like the idea how he talks to his Tony Hawk poster for support.  I like how the book describes the responsibilities of having sexual intercourse with another person.  The ending was a good way to put it for the end.

I don't think slam is a good book for 7th graders unless you can understand a lot of sophisticated words. I couldn't finish the book because I got really lost in the first paragraph so I wouldn't recommend this book to 7th graders. Maybe 8th graders but mostly 9th graders and up.

I thought this book was amazing and its use of words was an important message. I thought this book was romantic, funny and interesting all in one. I think the next book we read should revolve around something like this. Junice and Damian were the funniest characters, well I thought so. This book hasn’t been out very long cause it was copywrited in 2006 so I like when books are fresh.  In conclusion I’m excited for our next book.

I enjoyed reading Walter Dean Myers book “Street Love”. It is about two lovers that want to leave their lives in New York City. Junice and Damian are the main characters in the story. They fall in love while dealing with a lot of problems. Junice tries to live life even when all the pressure is on her with her mother going to prison for twenty-five years for selling drugs. Damian is trying to stay out of trouble until he goes to college. He got accepted to Brown university. Junice is a sixteen year old girl that is trying to move on with her life while her mother is in prison. She has to take care of her little sister Melissa and her grandmother. She works hard in school and is a smart girl. Social Services knows about their problems and knows that their grandmother is too sick to take care of them so Junice is trying to keep her and her sister together. Damian is a seventeen year old basketball player that also does well in school and want to have a great life. Damian meets Junice at school. They start a relationship. They fall in love, share their hard times and they both want the same things to leave the streets of Harlem New York. Damian wants to leave and go to school and Junice wants to get out with her sister so they won’t get separated. This book told the good and bad of a young relationship that lasted. I didn’t want to put this book down. I recommend this book to all readers.

Well I love Walter Dean Myers but this book was kind of confusing...it just shows how a boy and girl fall in love....it was also written in a poem kind of way I don't know this wasn't really one of my favorites.
